2000 chevy s10 starting problems?

I have a 2000 chevy s10 pickup 4 cyl and recently it has been having some problems starting. I just happened out of the blue when i turn the key to start everything lights up and the radio turns on but it wont start. I hear a clicking noise once when i turn the key to start almost like contacts closing but it wont start. If i go back and forth trying to start it about 10 times it will eventually start. The battery voltage needle on my dash reads about 12v and the battery reads about 12v when tested with my fluke 177 meter. It’s not even a year old so I don’t think thats the problem. Once the truck starts the needle on the voltage meter in the truck climbs to about 14 volts. I just don’t want this to be a problem that will leave me stuck somewhere or have to go to a mechanic and get the screws put into me. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
